Paranormal Activity the Movie [Evidence of a Haunting]

I’ve been waiting for over a year now for this low-budget indie movie to move out of the festival circuit and get some commercial screen time or at least be released to video. But when it comes to getting a status update, we’re still in the dark. And now that Dreamworks has acquired the project and is putting big bucks behind a remake I feel like the project is deteriorating like a post-Halloween pumpkin. My money says Spielberg will be screwing up the flick with sappy special effects.Nothing can be found online other than a couple reviews of Oren Peli’s original film and the official website, but you can’t even watch the trailer any more. Here is the trailer from the dailymotion website.
From the official website: A young couple suspects that their house is haunted by a malevolent entity. They set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep. Their surveillance and home videos have been edited into the 99 minute feature film “Paranormal Activity”
Let us know if you know anything about the flick

From what I’ve read the original was fantastic. But sounds like the Hollywood execs know better and plan on remaking it. Brilliant!

I know all they want to do is turn it into hollywood style bs.

Oren Peli will be directing the remake as well. It's labeled as untitled so far. It's being produced by Jason Blum. It will either be an incredible hit, or an incredible let down. But I'm banking on the hit. The first one kept me up for days! Scary stuff. And I trust these guys to bring it together nicely.
