The Objective (2008)
Finally, something other than another ’80s horror flick remake, an actual honest-to-goodness, original story. I know, I couldn’t believe it either. I guess there are some real film makers left. Speaking of which, the movie is directed by Daniel Myrick, one of the co-creators of The Blair Witch Project. The Objective looks to me anyway, like a supernatural thriller. And the premise is really wild.
It takes place in Afghanistan two months after 911, where we follow a team of special op guys and one iffy CIA dude. Their mission is to make contact with a Muslim cleric but they end up meeting something unexpected. And not too friendly I’m guessing.
Well what a surprise, as I sit here and write, a good fellow from Paranormal Spy just acquired the film. Yahtzee! So I’ll let you know how The Objective holds up sooner than later. But until then, go check out the official website, it’s sweet. Also, if you’re into behind the scenes type of stuff they’ve got a really good making of The Objective video there too.
