An intelligent haunting occurs when ghosts or spirits have the ability to communicate through EVP or KII with the living. Essentially, they are able to move objects, usually in an attempt to get attention and they are able to show themselves when asked. 

These ghosts are attached for some reason to the area or people they haunt. It’s possible that they lived or died in the home, do not realize they are deceased, or perhaps they are simply unable to move on for other reasons. In any case, they simply will not cross over, and may need assistance to do so.

Though this type of haunting is uncommon, it is the most widely accepted form of activity.
