Famous UFO Photos: 1870, Mt. Washington, New Hampshire

Oldest UFO photo. (ufocasebook)

Hmm, some say a swastika can be seen on the side of this UFO. But I’m guessing it’s just another healthy dose of pareidolia.

This photo is dubbed, “the oldest UFO photograph ever taken.” This item was the subject of bidding at Ebay in 2002, when finally the photo was purchased for $385.00 by Samuel M. Sherman, who was the president of Independent-International Pictures Corp. This was originally a “stereo” photograph. Certainly it was difficult to manipulate photos at that time, and remember, there were no flying objects then; at least, not from this world. {source: ufocasebook}

    This photo piqued both my husband's and my interest. Please use this link to read about the cogway railroad http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Washington_Cog…

    it was built prior to 1870; it traveled to the summit. Suppose someone was at the summit and photographed the train as it went up or down the mountain. If you blur out the train's image, it really might look like the UFO. No visible tracks? Perhaps a recent snowfall covered them, but had melted on the train's roof top. What do you think?

    This is clearly a picture of a mound of frost on the ground, not a photo of clouds. The stereo card label states “Frost Architecture.” The “UFO” is something small embedded in the frost. Case closed.

        cafeman, you clearly haven’t noticed that larz posted a link to the full photo! Why don’t YOU take a look at it — his description is obviously correct.
