All Locked Up. Why?

The entrance to Egypt’s cave underworld has been sealed shut just two years after its modern day discovery. Access to the tomb leading to these natural caverns, located beneath the famous Pyramids of Giza, is now blocked by a metal gate set in concrete.

The move follows recent work to clear the interior of the tomb known as NC2 or the “Tomb of the Birds”, and located in the plateau’s north cliff.

This came in the wake of revelations in the press last summer that British explorer and writer Andrew Collins had in March 2008 located a previously unknown opening into a natural cave system long thought to exist at Giza, but never before explored in modern times.

An enormous system of caves, chambers and tunnels lies hidden beneath the Pyramids of Giza, according to a British explorer who claims to have found the lost underworld of the pharaohs.

Populated by bats and venomous spiders, the underground complex was found in the limestone bedrock beneath the pyramid field at Giza.

“There is untouched archaeology down there, as well as a delicate ecosystem that includes colonies of bats and a species of spider which we have tentatively identified as the white widow,” British explorer Andrew Collins said.

Before we get too far, I gotta tell ya I can’t find squat on this one. I heard about this a few years ago and then caught about half of it on the tube. It’s a hell of a story with the Giza plateau in Egypt setting the stage for this one. Supposedly the Russians caught up with an alien known as “The Visitor” in some Egyptian tomb. They show a ton of what I’m guessing is supposed to be real footage of the event. But I ain’t buying it. It looks really staged and hokey, something you would see on SciFi on Saturday  morning. The people being interviewed look like their reading teleprompters. But hey don’t take my word for it, just listen to 007 himself. Yes, this documentary, if you can even call it that, is hosted by Roger Moore. So see what you think. It is a great story, and would love to find out more, but I think I smell a rat on this one.

The Book of Ahau: The Visions That Revealed the Secret of the Tomb of Osiris and the Hall of Records

Govany takes us into the heart of some of the world’s most mysterious locations, such as the Great Pyramid of Giza and The Great Sphinx. It’s there where things get really interesting. He finds new hidden chambers, undiscovered technology and an ancient library in the Great Pyramid. A machine is seen within the Great Pyramid that if turned on or used improperly could wipe out our current electromagnetic system permanently. Sound a little frightening. Yeah and maybe that’s why we’ve been told that everything has been found there. The powers that be don’t want anyone flipping the switch.

As for the Sphinx he saw a mausoleum and a museum containing untouched sarcophagi and much like the “Hall of Records” theory, documents containing “Man’s History.”

Giza could also be the final resting place of the Ark of the Covenant according to Govany’s visions. He even speculates on how Moses really parted the Red Sea by the use of a secret tunnel. At the end of the book there is a quick section on future predictions and possible explanations on past events.

Sounds a bit fantastic I know but Govany does say right up front that all of it is purely speculative and needs investigation. But overall The Book of Ahau makes for an entertaining combination of the paranormal and archeology.
