Mystery Deepens; Giza’s Cave Underworld Sealed Shut

All Locked Up. Why?

All Locked Up. Why?

The entrance to Egypt’s cave underworld has been sealed shut just two years after its modern day discovery. Access to the tomb leading to these natural caverns, located beneath the famous Pyramids of Giza, is now blocked by a metal gate set in concrete.

The move follows recent work to clear the interior of the tomb known as NC2 or the “Tomb of the Birds”, and located in the plateau’s north cliff.

This came in the wake of revelations in the press last summer that British explorer and writer Andrew Collins had in March 2008 located a previously unknown opening into a natural cave system long thought to exist at Giza, but never before explored in modern times.

Why paranormal investigators should understand the weather

Know the Weather

Know the Weather

You may ask yourself why a paranormal investigative group is concerned with the weather. There are many reasons why the weather is important to such groups; here are a few key points:

If you have an outdoor investigation you need to know how to dress.

Humidity is a key factor due to excessive water vapor in the air which may give false positive photos. Humidity refers to the amount of water vapor in the air. Relative humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapor in the air compared to the maximum amount possible at a given temperature. Air with a relative humidity of 50% is holding half the total amount of water vapor it is capable of holding at that temperature.

What to expect when going on an investigation

Don't expect George Washington's ghost

Don't expect George Washington's ghost

This is a short and to the point one. For those that are starting out in this field there is a lot you need to learn and understand before you actually go out and do a case. Today’s article is just another point that I think needs to be made to all of the “newbie’s” out there. Simply put “Do not expect anything to happen.”

If you go into an investigation expecting to see the ghost of George Washington or just Aunt Emma, you are bound to be disappointed. Most of the time paranormal investigators are sitting around waiting and waiting and waiting. The paranormal activity doesn’t begin just because an investigator is present. If you go in expecting nothing to be there and for nothing to be paranormal then you won’t be disappointed.

Paranormal group reports on American Theater haunting

American Theatre in Cherokee (Chronicle Times}

American Theatre in Cherokee (Chronicle Times}

DES MOINES – On May 2, 2009, Mid-Iowa Paranormal came back to investigate the American Theatre in Cherokee after having great experiences from the last investigation almost a year ago on June 20, 2008. Mid-Iowa Paranormal, founded by Robert Sinclair, has been the first paranormal investigations team to investigate the building.

The American Theatre was built in 1920 by Barry Sisk and Walter James, but they ran out of finances before being able to open the building. In 1923, Dale Goldie purchased the building from a sheriff’s auction and opened the theatre in 1925. His wife, Hazel worked in the ticket booth for the majority of her life. The basement of the building was used to store civil defense supplies, and those supplies are still there in entirety in large barrels.

The building was set for demolition in the early 1960’s, but local citizens campaigned together to save and open the historic building as a museum in 1987.

Bringing credibility to the field of paranormal investigation

Paranormal Credibility

Paranormal Credibility

Are you afraid to tell your family and friends that you are interested in ghosts and conducting ghost investigations? Are you tired of psychologists and psychiatrists saying that every person who thinks they see a ghost needs therapy and drugs, or is on drugs? Are you tired of mainstream science saying there is no such thing as ghosts and they will never accept ghost research or parapsychology as a real science? That’s why it’s so important to maintain credibility in this type of subjective and uncertain field of research.
