The term “anomalous cognition” has come to mean something similar to what has often been called the “sixth sense.”

These concepts are also linked with names for this phenomena such as extrasensory perception (ESP) and remote viewing.

However, is it true that certain kinds of perception are actually “anomalous,” that is, unusual or out of the ordinary?

Ingo Swann, author and self-described “consciousness researcher,” helped refine the process of remote viewing at the Stanford Research Institute in the early seventies. Later, while working under CIA funded experiments, Swann would develop his remote viewing further with Coordinate Remote Viewing, a process which allows remote viewing of locations with just the use of geographical coordinates.
