A pilot ready for take-off at Houston Intercontinental Airport August 3, 2009, watched “a very bright and large red light” UFO that dropped a smaller light to the ground, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Washington MUFON Chief Investigator James E. Clarkson, a friend of the pilot, filed the report with MUFON. Clarkson also posted a story at his UFO investigation web site.

The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Abduction/Experience Research Committee is launching the first of four studies it will conduct over the next few years – Omega Three.

Participants in the study are being recruited through an advertisement in the MUFON Journal as well as through OPUS.

The Journal ad states that MUFON is looking for “abductees, contactees and control group participants.”

Two Massachusetts witnesses watched a black triangle UFO low flying over Medfield, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The object was described as having three “brilliant white lights configured in a triangular pattern.”

The reporting witness said the slow moving object was about the size of “a medium-large cargo plane” and flying at between 1,000 and 2,000 feet and traveling at about 50 mph.

A Staten Island, New York, witness out walking his dog first noticed two lights in the sky “moving rather quickly.” Once the object was overhead, they “noticed it it was actually 3 lights in a triangular shape with a blinking red light dead in the center.

The greater Kansas City, Missouri, area has seen a higher than normal number of UFO sightings recently, according to state members of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

On July 31, two witnesses saw a “low flying spherical object” that was glowing a bright red-orange color. They said the object was above or near the AT&T building as they observed it from 1700 Walnut.

An amateur photographer from Westbury has taken what he describes as ‘a shot in a million’ of a UFO seemingly tracking an RAF plane.

The 56 year-old, from The Butts, Westbury, who wishes to remain anonymous, took this photograph at about 3.45pm on July 22 while in his garden looking towards the Westbury White Horse.

The image shows a Hercules from RAF Lyneham being trailed by a mysterious shape in the background.

A professor at University of Missouri-Kansas City watched a “circular or sphere-shaped craft” flying low and slow across the sky,” according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

“The craft looked dark but it had an orange glow around the entire thing – there were no other lights on it,” the professor stated. “I tried to determine the source of the glowing light but it looked like it enveloped the entire craft. There were no lights, wings, or tail and it did not look like an airplane or helicopter.”

A California man was shooting video of an object that looked like an android with arms that disappears behind the roof of a house, when he noticed a triangular craft flying in the direction of the moon, according to Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) California State Section Director and Investigator Jeffrey Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said Tuesday night that he continues to investigate this July 7, 2009, case, which occurred in southeast Fresno on the same day as the lunar eclipse .
